RV and travel tips needed…

We bought a new RV last October. My husband called some local contractors and had a cement platform built next to the woodshed. We also have a metal canopy over it to protect it from all the snow!! In May we plan to visit our daughter who lives in Las Vegas and take our maiden “voyage” in our Roadtrek! Can’t wait. We will be staying in a park there and then will travel to see the sites such as the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead. Any tips people would like to share would be appreciated!Mary Ann and RichardBethel, VT.

If you’re coming all the way from Vermont, plan to visit Bryce Cayon and Zion National Parks, you’ll love the wonderful creations God has made.
May will be a nice time to travel. Enjoy the trip since getting there is fun!! If you come through Missouri on your way, enjoy the spring flowers, sights in St. Louis such as the Arch, Shaws Botanical Garden, and the St. Louis Zoo.
If possible take a hike on the “easy” Bright Angel trail to Phantom Ranch at the bottom of Grand Canyon. You’ll want reservations beforehand. If you don’t want to do the whole hike thing, get out at least for an hour hike on any trail at the Grand Canyon. You have GOT to get out & hike to really get to know the Grand Canyon.
Northern Arizona / Southern Utah has some of the BEST RV camping; Gooseneck State Park has free camping with a view that compares to the Grand Canyon. 2 of the best State Parks in western US are Coral Pink SP, &, Snow Canyon SP, both in SW Utah. Your Roadtrek will do great at some of the tighter campgrouds…but you already knew that. Have fun
Ok you have a nice rig but how are you and family going to get around.. Drive the M/home? or you tow acar OK… I have a 250cc Honda that I carry on the back of my 23 ft class c Tioga, M/home.. We park the M/H and scout around on the cheap little motorcycle. I suggest now think about a tow vehicle and most RV’S don’t like the towing thing..
